A SeriousXM hiatus until March.

Taking a break due to a death in a family member plus adjustments to make.

Hello there.

You may have been wondering where the SeriousXM newsletter has been. There have been no new editions over the past couple of weeks. Well, there’s a good reason why.

Unfortunately, I lost a family member at the beginning of the month. My grandmother from my mom’s side passed away at 103. When I was born back in October of 1995 (I don’t mind giving that part away as I’m 27 now), she was the first person who carried me on this planet, first before my parents did.

She and I would never see each other a lot mainly because I lived almost 1,500 miles away from her (me in Florida, her in New England). However, every time I saw her, we were close and got along every single time. There was never one wrong moment when I was around here—lovely, sweet, caring, kind, etc. I can go on and on but I won’t. My point is that I lost a very beloved member of my family and a part of my life. She’s the first family member who passed away in my lifetime so this is all new to me. The blessed part about this… I got to see her in her final hours before God took her to heaven. Its all I could ever ask for.

So if you are wondering why… there you go. Please understand this as its still somewhat surreal to process this, despite passing away a few weeks ago now. I just needed time to destress and focus on myself a bit, which is what I’m doing with this newsletter.

I’m taking a break for now as I take time to destress but also make some few adjustments now that I got a new real-life job, which WILL take time away from doing this. Nonetheless, however, I will STILL deliver a weekly newsletter when I return in March. In the meantime, I’ve been collecting old pictures of lineups from SiriusXM’s archives plus I’m putting together a playlist of SiriusXM’s old videos and commercials from when they were separate companies until now. I’m still adding more and will share the link when I can.

For now, I will be away for another two weeks until Friday, March 3rd. Thank you for your patience and understanding and apologies for any inconvenience as to why SeriousXM hasn’t shown up lately. But don’t worry… I will be back.
